The Council of European Jamaats – Ramadhan Edition

Ramadhan Mubarak from the President of CoEJ
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
It is my pleasure to extend warmest greetings and good wishes to all of you. The holy month of blessings is with us again. It is indeed only due to the mercy of Allah (SWT) we have been fortunate enough to be granted the virtues of Ramadhan.
I pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) rewards each and every one of us for our good deeds, hard work and generosity, and that He keeps us all in the best of health and the highest state of emaan. I also pray that Allah (SWT) continues to grant us the ability to serve humanity for His pleasure and blessings, aameen.
This year we are seeking support from our members and supporters for their generous contributions to WF-AID Ramadhan Relief by helping deserving widows, orphans, and families in several countries across the world.
As a result of living in some of the most deprived communities across these regions, many people are forced to live off what they can find on a day-to-day basis – consequently, causing many to suffer from malnutrition.
In our current climate refugees are subject to severe economical, societal and cultural challenges. Your generosity allows those most in need to receive vital aid and support. Deprivation of food and shelter is never acceptable, a message that is repeatedly echoed in this holy month. Alleviation of poverty amongst all of mankind is a primary obligation in Islam. “A person is either your brother in faith, or your equal in humanity” Imam Ali (AS).
Ramadhan is also a time to remember our brothers and sisters all over the world who have been adversely affected and are facing immense difficulties and hardship. We offer special prayers to Allah (SWT) to alleviate their suffering and grant them relief.
May the Most Merciful and the Most Kind give us the strength to continue working to help those less fortunate than ourselves. May He also keep us all on a safe and steady path, accept our fasts, supplications and ibaadah and forgive all our sins, aameen.
Allah’s mercy and blessings be with you all. Ramadhan Kareem
Warmest regards and best wishes,
Salim Rehmatullah

Mosque Attach in Peshawar – Pakistan Statement from the
Office of Ayatollah Sayyid al-Sistani
In the Name of God, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
“Indeed we belong to God, and indeed to Him we will return” – Quran 2:165 Brother and sisters in faith of Peshawar, Pakistan (may God exalt their status) Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you. The painful tragedy that occurred today during Friday prayers at the Kucha Risaldar Mosque, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of a large number of innocent worshipers, is cause for great sadness and sorrow. As we extend our condolences to you, dear loved ones, and the bereaved families, we ask God for patience and solace for all, and that He grant the wounded a speedy recovery and raise the ranks of the martyrs of this painful event. The Islamic seminary in Najaf and the supreme Shiite authority denounce this horrific crime that targeted the unity of Muslims and strongly urge the government of Pakistan to devise ways to protect the oppressed in the face of the tyranny and crimes of terrorist groups. Moreover, it is necessary that preventive measures are implemented in this regard to safeguard their religious gatherings from being subjected to such violent and brutal attacks by ruthless extremist groups. We ask God, the Exalted, the Almighty that the esteemed people of Pakistan remain honored and respected. Office of al-Sayyid al-Sistani – The Holy City of Najaf 30 Rajab 1443 A.H.
